The SLA panel is empty. Is something broken

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Probably not. An empty SLA Details panel usually means there is no deadline to show, and that is a real answer rather than a failure.

What to check, in order

  1. Open the request and read SLA Details in the right rail.
  2. Check the request's status. A status your agency has set to paused stops the countdown, and the request list shows no figure with a tooltip saying the clock has stopped.
  3. Check whether the request is closed. Closed requests have completed clocks, and the list shows Met where they were satisfied.
  4. If the request is open, running, and still shows nothing, the statutory profile is the place to look, under Settings, then Workflows, then SLA Policies.

Where no deadline is the correct answer

Some jurisdictions set no numeric deadline and ask only that records be produced promptly. Where your statutory profile carries no figure for a window, Govflo creates no clock for it. Nothing counts down, nothing can be missed, and the panel is empty because the statute is silent rather than because the software failed.

Worth knowing before you ask an administrator to fix it.

A reopened request gets a fresh date

If the request was closed and has since come back, its resolution clock does not revive the original deadline. It takes a new one from your agency's reopen window, counted in business days.

When it is worth raising

Raise it when your statute does set a numeric deadline and the panel is still empty on an open, running request. That points at the statutory profile rather than at this request, and an administrator needs to look at it.

Include the request number and what you understand the statutory window to be. Both are on your screen, and together they save a round trip.
