Branding and agency information
Last updated: August 27, 2026
Two screens under Account decide how your agency appears to the public and how it is identified on records and letters. Set both before anyone sees the portal.
How to set your branding
Go to Settings, then Account, then Branding.
Set Agency / portal name and Footer text.
Set Primary and Accent colors as six-digit hex. Leave either blank to inherit the Govflo palette.
Set Primary (dark mode). Leaving it blank derives one from Primary, and a single hex rarely reads well on both surfaces.
Upload a Logo and a Favicon.
Changes save as you make them, and the screen records who changed them last.
Check the contrast warning
The color fields warn you when an accent is too low-contrast against the light background. It reports the actual ratio and the WCAG thresholds: 4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for large text.
Take it seriously rather than dismissing it. Buttons and links in a failing color are hard to see for everyone and unusable for some, and a public body has a harder time defending an inaccessible portal than a private one.
Where branding shows up
The agency name, logo and footer appear across the staff console, the citizen portal, letters and emails. The Preview panel at the bottom shows the staff console version.
Check the portal separately. The staff console is dark and the portal is light, which is exactly where a single accent color tends to fall apart.
Agency information
Settings, then Account, then Agency Information holds two blocks.
Organization: legal name, website, contact email, contact phone and street address. This is how your agency is identified on records and letters, so use the legal name rather than the everyday one.
IPRA custodian: the name, email and phone of the public-records officer citizens are directed to.
The custodian card is public
The custodian details feed the records custodian card and the footer on your citizen portal. Whatever you enter here is published.
Use a role mailbox rather than an individual's personal address wherever your statute allows it. A named officer who leaves takes a published contact point with them, and the portal keeps showing it until someone remembers to change it.
